Nokia to lay off 450 employees

Nokia Corp., the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer, plans to lay-off at least 450 employees and streamline its operations. It also plans to start coordination with third-party companies to outsource some its mobile services. By outsourcing the work, deleting the redundancies, and streamlining work, the Finland-based companies hopes to reduce its operating costs and preserve its competitiveness in the coming years.

Bandwidth Cap: consumption-based internet price

Time Time Warmer Cable Inc. has decided to hold off on introducing a tiered pricing plan for their internet service users. They told Wall Street Journal that they've delayed the implementation on their plan for a bandwidth cap or consumption - based billing after the negative response of consumers and politicians. Only 16 percent of consumers in Beaumont, Texas is testing the bandwidth plan since it receive a lot of issues since last spring. More on the ling below.
