Phillippine Government Trys to Make Text messaging free

The Philippine Government proposed that all text messages be made free for the service users due to rising food and gas prices. The companies that control the texting services do not agree with this plan. They feel that free texting will mean poor service. They say that an increase in texting will clog the network and be less convenient for customers.
